i always see this reminder in every legal business establishment. by legal, i mean establishment that was issued with the necessary permit to operate from the authorities.
neat. nice. informative.
unfortunately (for the consumers, BIR or business owners. . . i don't really know), the consumers were too shy to ask for their purchase receipt and some business establishments seem too busy to issue a receipt.
sure the consumers could always report the violators. but these days, vigilance is only found in the dictionary (atleast that's how it seem to be).
more so, some establishments that issue receipts seem to have another set of receipt book other than the one prescribed by authorities. temporary receipts, they call it. don't know if it corresponds to a "temporary tax". . . or something like it.
i always ask for a purchase receipt on items amounting to P50 and up. don't know but i find it hard to ask for receipt on items worth below P50. so much for this BIR blog.
i don't have any grudge with the concerned government agency. don't have any recommendations either. just an observation. really. . .
